How to select the Hawker battery?

The AGV car chooses Hawker battery AX lead-acid series or Hawker battery EV lithium battery series, which needs to be judged according to different application scenarios and needs.

1. Selection of Hawker battery type

There are two types of Hawke batteries used in AGV cars: lead-acid batteries AX12-XX, lithium batteries EV24-XX / EV48-XX. (XX indicates battery capacity) The detailed battery parameter table can be obtained from the official website of Hawker China Office (Shenzhen Xunpu Technology Development Co., Ltd.).

Each cell voltage of Hawker lead-acid battery is 12V, which is connected in series to form a 24V or 48V battery pack. The selectable capacities are 18AH, 26AH, 45AH, 60AH, 75AH, 100AH, 120AH, 150AH, 180AH, 200AH, 250AH;

The maximum allowable discharge current of lead-acid batteries is more than 10C, and the normal discharge current is 0.5C; the maximum charging current is 0.2C, and it usually takes 10-12 hours to charge an empty battery. It is usually used for simple AGV trolleys and application scenarios where the production cycle is not very compact. Due to the long charging time, it is generally necessary for someone to manage the battery charging. Each AGV car needs to be equipped with two sets of batteries (one for backup and one for use).

Hawker lithium battery packs are available in 24V, 48V, 72V, 96V, etc., with 24V and 48V being the most widely used. The selectable capacities are 10AH, 20AH, 30AH, 40AH, 50AH, 60AH, 80AH, 100AH, 120AH, 160AH, 180AH, 200AH, 300AH. The size of the lithium battery is more flexible and can be customized according to the space of the AGV trolley battery compartment. The energy density is higher than that of the lead-acid battery. Under the same size, it can store more power and last longer. At the same time, it supports fast charging. The standard Hawker lithium battery can be charged at 2C, and the customized battery can be charged at 5C. The standard discharge is 0.5C, and the maximum supports 2C discharge.

Because the Hawker lithium battery has the function of fast charging, it is often used in scenarios with a high degree of automation. There is no special person to control the charging of the battery on site. The AGV system automatically collects power information and automatically matches the battery charging time and charging current according to different states. Maximize the efficiency of the AGV trolley. Generally, it works in the form of shallow charge and shallow discharge, and the battery power of the trolley remains basically unchanged for each cycle of operation, which can realize long-term automatic operation and unattended operation.

2. Choice of capacity of Hawker battery

There are two indicators for battery capacity selection: load power (W) and continuous running time (T).

Working current A = power W / battery nominal voltage

Required battery capacity = working current A * continuous running time T

(Note: The voltage of lead-acid batteries is calculated according to the nominal voltage of 24V or 48V, the nominal voltage of lithium batteries is calculated according to 25.6, and the voltage of 48V lithium batteries is calculated according to 48V.)

3. Description of special functions of Hawker battery

Hawker lithium batteries can be customized in size and function according to different application requirements.

The Hawker lithium battery contains a battery management system (BMS), which has protection functions such as overcharge, overdischarge, overtemperature, and overcurrent. At the same time, the remaining power (SOC) is calculated internally, which can be fed back to the AGV in real time. It supports RS485 communication and CANopen. Communication, power AO output, battery DIO information interaction. The AGV car can obtain battery status information through the interactive interface, and at the same time control the battery according to the requirements to realize intelligent management.
